Clean Construction Lead at C40 Cities | UK
Cécile Faraud is Head of Clean Construction at C40 Cities, where she leads initiatives to tackle the climate and socio-economic impacts of construction. She champions systemic circular and regenerative built environment solutions and practices. With a background in environmental policy and international collaboration, she supports global cities in accelerating the shift towards a decarbonised, climate-resilient and just construction and built environment ecosystem.
Prior to C40, Cécile’s roles included aligning city and businesses climate agenda in London, setting up a Circular City programme for the city of Peterborough (UK), and conducting Southeast Asia cross-regional collaboration for sustainable development and regional priorities.
She holds an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London (UCL) and Master’s degrees in International Relations and Geography from IRIS Sup’ and La Sorbonne respectively.
