About the programme .
The Young Leaders Programme is a special programme track of the Urban Future Events, taking place annually during the conference days. It is directed at passionate urban changemakers of 30 years or younger that want to change the future of our cities for the better. Up to 50 Young Leaders are chosen to be part of it after running through an online application process.
During the conference, Young Leaders have access to all “regular” conference sessions and workshops – plus exclusive programme and networking options specifically tailored to their needs. The aim of the programme is to get ambitious young CityChangers involved into the discussion about how our cities of the future should and will look like. We’re creating exclusive programme options for you that will push you, inspire you, provide you with a head full of new perspectives, and a strong network to follow whatever career path you have chosen for yourself.
This means that on top of all conference sessions, formats such as the following await you:
Mumble in the Jungle
Mumble in the Jungle
These are discussions in small groups of 6-8 attendees. In very “honest” and personal sessions, community-, business-, and city leaders share very private experiences (eg. of being a politician) and you can bug them with your questions. In these sessions, there’s a strong focus on personal experiences, skills, motivation and how to deal with frustrations along the way.
Skill Workshops
Skill Workshops
During these sessions, we’re connecting you with renowned experts from all over the world – on the topics of leadership, communication or presentation skills, for example. These workshops are focused on fostering skills and knowledge crucial to young leaders, paving their way and getting them involved.
Braincycling Sessions
Braincycling Sessions
This is where you can get together with your fellow Young Leaders and discuss your own projects – to broaden your horizon and channel different approaches and perspectives on topics that are essential to your vision of changing cities for the better.
Networking Options
Networking Options
We’re giving you exclusive networking options at the conference – for example at the official VIP and speakers’ reception, and will make sure that you get enough presence during the conference days: we want all conference participants to know who you are and get to know you! This is your chance to get connected to almost 3.000 CityChangers!
