Ursel Velve sees the main challenges for cities in the lack of sufficient contact with their citizens to understand their actual expectations and needs. As Chief Innovation Officer at the city of Ülemiste, she is passionate about and works towards customer centric, sustainable, and data-driven cities. In addition to initiating new real estate and service developments based on design thinking, Ursel and her R&D team are developing research models for a more data-based approach of decision-making that leads to more sustainable cities.
