Director, Global Partnerships & Thought Leadership at Urban Partners | Denmark

Thure Karup has worn many hats before landing in his current position as Director and Head of Partnerships and Thought Leadership in Urban Partners two years ago. A political scientist by background, he started his career in the Danish Foreign Service and was posted as deputy ambassador to Syria. Thure then moved to the political arena where he worked in the cabinets of three foreign ministers and two Prime Ministers. He moved with his family to New York where he worked for World Economic Forum, the UN Secretary-General's Climate Team and UN Foundation. In his current job with Urban partners – an urban investment company and developer active in 8 countries and with 20bn in AUM - Thure manages the company's strategic partnerships, public affairs portfolio and external positioning.
