Sylvia Kostenzer believes that a liveable city needs fairly shared public space. As a parent, Sylvia envisions greener, safer, and more inclusive cities; places where children can move safely and freely on their own, and those that offer an abundance of unsealed, green spaces where motorised traffic is reduced to a bare minimum.

She is a hand-on change-maker, using colourful street markings and large painted streetscapes to reclaim public space. Incorporating playful designs, Sylvia has created movement-friendly environments like an octopus-shaped bike parcour and a schoolyard co-designed with students – both becoming vibrant landscapes for learning and social interaction.
