Sascha Glasl

Co-founder of Space&Matter | The Netherlands

At the height of the economic crisis, Sascha Glasl wanted to create projects instead of waiting and co-founded Space&Matter with two colleagues. He initiated De Ceuvel and SWEETS Hotel and played a leading role in shaping the plan for Schoonschip. Equally passionate about strategic design, innovative concepts and democratic development processes, Sascha focuses on implementing the principles of the Doughnut Economy in the built environment. He is exploring how the development of Community Land Trusts can accelerate this transition and focuses on creating a comprehensive ecosystem that can increase the scale and impact of these past projects. Sascha is also co-founder of community driven developer Common City, rewilding nature-through-recreation concept Sumowala, and platform for building collectives CrowdBuilding.
