Rupert Wronski

Deputy Head of Municipal Environmental Protection at Environmental Action Germany (DUH) | Germany
With his work at Environmental Action Germany, Rupert Wronski pushes cities across Germany to become climate-friendly, resilient, and liveable places in all relevant realms. To adjust the policy framework in a way that encourages individual sustainable behaviour, Rupert claims that it needs a combination of legal measures and cooperative measures – the “carrot & stick” method. This good mixture of collaboration and mixture must be scaled up as he is convinced that not the individual alone can change the way we live, produce, and work. We need respective policies to enable the change for good on a broader level, and he is proud to push for those in his daily work.
