Project Management Smart City & IoT at the City of Stuttgart | Germany
Nikolett Haklik is a project manager within the civil engineering office and IT for the state of Stuttgart. Here she leads several projects in the fields of smart cities and the Internet of Things, including smart disabled parking solutions and the remote monitoring of flood retention basins. Nikolett also tests new technologies in the Smart City Lab, such as LoRaWAN and IoT-Plattform, and she is building a digital twin for streets and traffic to support the data strategy and smart city plan for the civil engineering office. Having studied degrees in Sustainable Product Management and Sustainable Mobility, and a master’s in mobility policies, sociology, and the theory behind sustainable mobility, Nikolett gained valuable insights into problem-based research, people-centred solutions, and urban mobility needs. She has in the past also worked on projects focusing on ridesharing, mobility attitudes, product development, and value proposition.
