Michael Ornetzeder is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Technology Assessment at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and a Lecturer at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. His main research interest is within science and technology studies, with a particular focus on innovation-oriented forms of technology assessment, user innovation, social learning, and innovation networks. Michael’s current research focuses on the transition of the energy system towards greater sustainability. He also is a member of the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC) Energy Steering Panel.
