Manuel Trujillo is the Director of International Relations at the Mayor’s Office for the City of Barranquilla, Colombia. Before taking this role, he had an advisory role in setting up the department he now leads. Equipped with a BA in Economics and Political Science and a master's in Public Administration, Manuel previously served as a senior advisor in Colombia’s National Government at the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation. There, he helped design the country’s Roadmap for International Cooperation and co-created pooled funding instruments that are designed to support the implementation of Colombia’s peace accord. Manuel has also worked in Washington D.C. as a researcher at the Committee for Economic Development and as COO of Endeavor Colombia, an international non-profit organization for high-impact entrepreneurs.
