Luisina Perassi

Architect & Urban Designer at Humankind | The Netherlands

Luisina Perassi is passionate about the interplay between mobility, architecture, and urban design. She explores their potential to accelerate urban transitions towards making cities more equitable, sustainable, and happier places for us all. She has worked with the El Desafio Foundation and Humankind on projects that empower young people. Through co-imagination sessions she helps them to activate public spaces in some of the most urban and socially excluded neighbourhoods in Rosario, Argentina. Luisina’s other projects include the ‘Plazas de bolsillo’ project, one of the ideas she took to with local governments, aiming to transform vacant lots into temporary public spaces. An Urban Future Young Leader in the first cohort in 2019, Luisina has most recently been involved in the development of mobility strategies and led youth engagement programs in Australia. Here, she has helped give young people the opportunity to express their ideas on how they want their cities to be shaped.
