Livia Regen is an ecological economist who specialises in multi-level governance. She works as a researcher at the Institute for Technology Assessment (ITA, Austrian Academy of Sciences) on a project that develops concepts for positive energy districts (PEDs) as an element of urban transformation. As part of the JPI Urban Europe-funded TRANS-PED project, she has investigated the learning and reflection processes of urban energy transitions. Additionally, she is interested in social-ecological transformation and the alternative organisation of economic provisioning. She also edited the recently published ‘Degrowth & Strategy: How to bring about social-ecological transformation’.
