Head of the Sustainability & Climate Protection Unit at the city of Esslingen/Neckar | Germany

Katja Walther is heading the Sustainability and Climate Protection unit at the city of Esslingen/Neckar where she is responsible for the implementation of the city's integrated climate protection and adaptation plan. She also works with the lighthouse project "Climate District Neue Weststadt Esslingen", the first project to include the production of green hydrogen in an urban context in Germany. Katja holds a PhD and master's degree in Ecology and has been with the city of Esslingen for eight years now.
