As Deputy Mayor of Gothenburg and proud water salamander owner, Karin Pleijel wants to make it easy for everybody to be part of the solution in a just climate transition. She is deeply aware of the responsibility that politicians have of forming a city’s infrastructure to increase equality and creating a more sustainable environment. Karin claims that the survival and welfare of humanity is directly and indirectly dependent on our surrounding, which is why she dedicates her time to implement respective measures. Thereby she focuses on affordable public transport, a sharing economy, green energy, and sustainable housing, and promotes simple sustainable choices for the daily life.
