Jennifer is what you would call an inspirational urban leader!

She is an urban planner named one of the “most powerful” and “most influential” people in Canada. Jennifer spent five years as Toronto’s Chief City Planner, where she was celebrated for her forward thinking and collaborative approach to city-building.

In 2018, she founded The Keesmaat Group, a senior-level urbanists crew who work with future-oriented cities, regions, companies, and organizations to advance solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including the urgent need for more efficient and less costly systems of movement and the global housing affordability crisis. Jennifer is convinced that tackling these issues does not always require big spending; however, “they do require a clear-eyed vision of the future we are seeking to create as a country”.
