Mayor of Stuttgart | Germany

Frank Nopper has been Mayor of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, and a member of the executive committee of the Association of German Cities since 2021. Previously, he was Mayor of the major district city of Backnang for 19 years. He studied law in Tübingen, administrative sciences in Speyer, and holds a doctorate in legal sciences. In the early years of his professional career, he worked as head of the legal and administrative department at Messe Stuttgart (Stuttgart Trade Fair) and as managing director of the Landesinnungsverband des Schreinerhandwerks Baden-Württemberg (State Guild Association of Carpenters).
