Head of Unit - EU & place-based innovation ecosystems at EISMEA, European Commission | Belgium

Denisa Perrin has mainly worked on research and cohesion policies through her career, aiming to promote the socio-economic development of all European regions and countries. She does this by putting the spotlight on innovation diffusion and industrial transition, which she started with the Commission in DG GROW after graduating in economics with a specific focus on innovation-led development. Now with EISMEA, Denisa designs and coordinates research and innovation policy development and actions contributing to the European Innovation Council's mission and implementation. Her work relates closely to the EU- and place-based Innovation Ecosystems' policy agenda. It also aligns with the innovation dimension of relevant EU policies and funding programmes within the I3, the European Innovation Ecosystems and EIC work programmes.
