Dejan Crnek is a passionate advocate for sports and community development, having served as President of the Športno društvo Narodni dom Ljubljana for more than two decades. Maybe it’s this that has instilled in Dejan the community spirit that he needs to serve as deputy mayor of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Whatever it is, he brings extensive experience in local governance, which has led the city to improve infrastructure to benefit its citizens. This includes street lighting, mobility systems, and enhancing public transport connections. In the past two years alone, with Dejan’s input, Ljubljana has reinforced its reputation as a green city via numerous environmentally conscious projects. The city has also invested in renewable energy and converted public buildings to enhance energy-efficiency. As long as Dejan has a say, the urban space will be a sustainable and resident-friendly one.
