UF23 KEY THEMES
GETTING IT DONE
TRANSFORMING TO NET ZERO
Cities need to transform and many do. This track will be all about how to get it done, what mistakes to avoid along the way, what teams & skills are needed, how to prioritize actions, and how to collaborate with citizens to succeed.
FROM TALKING TO DOING
Cities are all about mobility. But urban mobility is also a huge source of various emissions, a severe safety threat for vulnerable citizens, and a huge user of public space. This track explores just how exactly cities are successfully transforming their mobility, changing individual behaviour, overcoming challenges, and reshaping infrastructure.
WHAT IT TAKES TO RE(ACTIVATE) SPACE
High quality of living is becoming a competitive advantage for cities. In addition, transforming neighbourhoods holds the potential of increasing sustainability, reducing emissions, and strengthening the social fabric along the way. Meet those who are very successful in doing just that.
ACTIVATING THE FULL POTENTIAL
Any project’s success depends on leaders who inspire others and nurture their community. In this track we will focus on successful collaboration practices, focusing on how citizens and administrations alike can become drivers of transformation – by collaborating with each other and their city leadership: to innovate faster, get things done, and strengthen social cohesion along the way.
